On the 28th of February, 2014 Advanced Massage Therapy and Massage Therapy program students did some volunteer work at the CCAA Badminton National Championship by massaging its participants in Edmonton, Alberta. It was an excellent chance for our students to apply newly acquired skills in real life on the athletes after their performance on the badminton courts.
The event took place at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and that was the fifth time it hosted the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Badminton National Championship.
Here is what the Advanced Massage Therapy program student Alexis says about her experience at CDI College: “My instructor is amazing. She is able to answer all my questions and helps me find extra information. She goes out of her way to help us and is able to provide examples based on real life experiences. I like how we are able to move things around easily to fit what we are doing in the classroom. I am very pleased with what the instructors have taught us. They are what make this a good experience and the reason I stayed at CDI.”
